Buyers Checkout with No Sign-up, and No Hassle on ArtFire





Buy Handmade Fast with "No Account Checkout"

Making it easier for your buyers to complete the checkout process can substantially increase sales. Our objective at ArtFire is support your business and your brand. We adapt to the needs of the community quickly and develop functionality that members can use to increase exposure, traffic.

Shoppers on ArtFire no longer have to worry about setting up an account just to make a purchase. Now they can make a purchase by entering their shipping information and email address during checkout to proceed with their order.

Shoppers now only need to click the Buy button to be taken directly to their shopping cart regardless of if they have an account or not.


Upon viewing their cart, Buyers are be able to specify where an item is shipped o help calculate shipping costs. If the buyer is logged in, this box will be automatically filled in based on the buyer’s shipping information. If the buyer is not logged in or does not have an account, they will then have to select a shipping location before proceeding.

If buyers have added a product to their cart which does not ship to their location, they will then be given the option to contact the seller directly (via a large contact button) to work out the shipping options.

Once they have confirmed their shipping location, buyers need only click the Checkout button to proceed with their order.


Here, buyers will be able to enter in their shipping information. Shoppers can also note which kinds of payment the seller accepts and review the total checkout price with the cost of shipping now entered in. members are reminded that while users can browse the site with prices set to whatever currency they choose, all final checkout prices are in US dollars (this ensures consistency between the checkout price of different payment services such as PayPal and Google Checkout and the price viewed on the site).

After buyers have entered in their shipping address, confirmed the price and double checked to make sure the seller accepts their method of payment, they can click Submit Order to continue or Revise Order to go back. Once an order has been submitted, it cannot be changed, so shoppers are encouraged to make sure everything is correct before proceeding.



On the final page of check out, buyers are able to choose which method of payment they wish to use. By clicking on any of the Choose buttons, shoppers will be taken directly to those services’ websites and asked to log in to pay for the order. The seller address is displayed for check or money order payment.

Please note that we have added the note to seller window for size, color, gift, or shipping instructions per our member artisan’s request.

Both parties will then receive an email notifying them of the sale. Sellers will receive all the shipping and contact information entered by the buyer when checking out.

If a seller never receives a payment for their item, they should first contact the buyer. If payment still isn’t worked out in a reasonable amount of time, the seller should re-list the item.

Members should note that buyers who use the No Account Checkout feature will be unable to leave Karma or Kudos on their order as they are not members. Likewise, sellers will be unable to give buyers Kudos in return. Sellers are encouraged to email the buyer directly after a sale is completed if they wish to personally thank them.
